Ashley Smith (Bible/Character Development)

Ms. Smith is a life-long resident of Covington, Georgia. She is a graduate of Reinhardt University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Art in Religion. While at Reinhardt, she was the recipient of the Religion Program award. She furthered her education at Emory University where she graduated with a Master of Divinity from The Candler School of Theology. While at Emory, she volunteered in a variety of churches, focusing on serving and Christian education of all ages.

Ms. Smith is a third-generation educator. Her grandmother taught in the Atlanta Public Schools, while her mother is currently a teacher in the Newton County School System. Ms. Smith has always had a heart for educating people of all ages about Jesus Christ and the Scriptures. She is always looking for new ways to integrate scripture and encourages other’s walk with Christ in their daily lives. She is excited about teaching students how not only to read and understand scripture, but also how to apply it to their daily lives. Ms. Smith is so excited about being a part of The Academy of Scholars family! She is excited about using her knowledge of scripture to help mold the next generation of Christian followers.
