Christina Whaley-Edwards (Physical Education)

Mrs. Whaley-Edwards is a devoted educator, who promotes the power of decision making and goal setting as life skills, while educating students on the importance of maintaining a healthy body and mind through positive behaviors. She began her teaching career with the New York City Department of Education and is a proud alumna of St. John’s University. In the fall, she plans to attend Georgia State University to pursue a Master of Art in Health and Physical Education.

Mrs. Whaley-Edwards was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and recently relocated to the Atlanta area. As a young adult she has learned the importance of maintaining great health and became passionate about educating her peers. As a proud Army war veteran, Mrs. Whaley-Edwards knew her mission was not complete. Shortly after returning home, she began her undergraduate studies in education.

In her spare time, Mrs. Whaley-Edwards enjoys coaching basketball, traveling and spending quality time with loved ones.
