DaNadia Johnson (5th Grade)

Ms. Johnson has been a passionate educator for four years and is excited to start her first year at the Academy of Scholars! Ms. Johnson is a life-long learner with a vision of instilling a love for life-long learning in all her scholars. It is important to her that her scholars govern their learning and value education and academic opportunities. Ms. Johnson works hard to ensure that her scholars learn the skills necessary to become well-rounded leaders. Ms. Johnson graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Degree in Education and Psychology and is currently working on her Masters in School Psychology & Counseling.

She finds joy in not only teaching curriculum but in developing character and teaching her scholars how to be socially and emotionally resilient, as they discover their identity and navigate the world around them.

When Ms. Johnson is not teaching, she loves to travel and be amongst family and friends. Some of her hobbies include hand lettering, reading, cooking, creating DIY projects, and boxing. Ms. Johnson understands the importance of building transformational relationships within the school community, and she looks forward to building these relationships with her scholars and The Academy of Scholars School Community!
