Joanie Johnson
An Atlanta native, Ms. Johnson received her Bachelor’s Degree and teaching certification in Early Childhood Education from the illustrious Spelman College and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the Atlanta Campus of Mercer University.

Ms. Johnson’s teaching experience consists of interacting with and engaging students across many age, learning, cultural, and racial spectrums throughout the South and Metro Atlanta areas. She believes that education consists of learning on both the teacher’s and the student’s part. She also believes that all students have the ability and can learn and develop. Because of this, Ms. Johnson considers that the essential purpose of the education system is to help each child recognize this ability and use it to become their best selves in every aspect of their lives.

Ms. Johnson is an avid health advocate and has committed to a plant-based lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, shopping at the local farmer’s markets, learning about healthy habits, and spending time with her friends and family. She is elated to be a part of the AOS family!
