Monet Mike-Brown (5th/6th Grade ELA/Social Studies)


Ms. Monet Mike-Brown is a passionate educator who strives to create lifelong learners who make a positive difference in their local and global community. A proud alumnus of Albany State University, Ms. Mike-Brown not only teaches in a spirit of excellence but cultivates leaders who learn and perform in a spirit of excellence. She has two young children: five-year-old Channing and four-year-old Ethan. As a mother, Monet understands the importance of nurturing students. Providing instruction with a holistic approach, she creates a community of love, respect, and exploration.

Ms. Mike-Brown has taught upper elementary and sixth grade English and Social Studies. She has also had the honor of developing reading curriculum and leading professional development sessions in Georgia. As a certified educator, Ms. Mike-Brown provides training and mentorship, while using innovative teaching techniques and curricula, to ensure scholars will enjoy learning and explore new content.

In addition to teaching, Monet enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, traveling, crafting and writing. She is excited to join The AOS community and inspire scholars to new heights!
