Valicia Boone (Library/Media)

Ms. Boone is entering her first year of teaching, and she is enthusiastic to share her love of reading with our scholars. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Geography. While at KSU, she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Women’s Fraternity and served as their Director of Philanthropy, and a member of Kiwanis International. She is passionate about serving others and has always been an active member of her community.

Ms. Boone is currently completing her second year of her Master’s degree at Rutgers University, where she studies Library and Information Science. Ms. Boone believes in creating excitement and passion for research and reading by using technology and programming to engage our scholars. She is an advocate for identifying strengths and passions and building on abilities to further develop knowledge and skills. She is from a family of educators, as both of her sisters are elementary school teachers. This has added to her passion for helping others, especially young people. She hopes to instill a lifelong love of reading while developing literacy and information skills.
